Family Photos with your newborn at your own home.. or this time a farm in Cavan!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again (and again!) Photographing your newborn hazy days at home is the NICEST way!

For your newborn and especially with older siblings the comfort of your own home offers you the opportunity to create lasting memories where they happen. And this gorgeous busy little family had the bonus of their very own farm including rolling green hills .. what more could this family photographer want - oh sunshine - and yes there was sunshine!!

So we started the session inside with individual photos little darling littlest boy and s few of the kids together.. then we wandered down the driveway up the lane and on the hill.. giving loads of time and space for older siblings to get some energy out with fun family photos along the way.. we topped the session off with a jump on the trampoline and a few quiet minutes for mum and dad.

Comfort and Familiarity

By choosing photos at your home you give a familiar backdrop and space for your kids comfort to both you and your newborn and older siblings too. This relaxed atmosphere allows everyone to be themselves, resulting in genuine moments that reflect your family’s personality - photos that look like you!

Tips for the Session:

Timing: Alongside lighting, we schedule your session when your newborn is usually calm and content and the older siblings are fed and rested. This often means planning around feeding and nap times.
Involve Siblings and Pets: If you have other children they are given the chance to come show their love to your new addition and have their own individual photos and some with mum and dad too so they know they’re as loved as always! Have a four legged family member? they definitely need to show their hairy heads in your family photos!
Dress Comfortably: Opt for outfits that make you feel at ease. Soft, neutral colors often work best, allowing the focus to stay on your family - Ill send you a link for inspo!!
