FAQ

What if I want photos but hate having photos taken?

Well you’re not the first person to say that! I get it, the thought of standing smiling can make anyone cringe but I try my very best to make photo sessions fun, relaxed and stress free as possible so you kinda forget you’re having photos taken (except the big camera in your face haha!) Ive loads of experience and do my best to take you from flattering angels, say lots of stupid things to make you laugh and most importantly try take photos with a feeling.. so hopefully you’re not looking so critically at yourself but distracted by how great the images make you feel!

Also, I take a crapload of photos but only share the ones I think you look best in!

Where do we have the photos taken?

Im happy to chat about locations, I love a home session if you have any garden at all we can make photos there! I also love Virgina Forrest (down near the lake), the Spire of Lloyd in Kells Meath, Killykeen Park, Lough Sheelin near Crover House, Fore Abbey (or any Abbey you love!), Loughcrew and Loughcrew Gardens. I love an ‘urban’ location too.. and happy to plan a session at your favourite place. If you’re having a family event at a hotel or even a Holiday home by the sea I would LOVE to come along!!

What if I need to rebook?

If your family is sick we will reschedule for the next available date, just know I book up at least a month in advance so you may have to wait. Your booking deposit is transferable but not refundable. If you have to reschedule twice you will have to pay a new booking deposit, reschedules means loss of work for me.

What if it rains?

Irelands weather is all over the place.. really we only need a break in a shower to get your gorgeous photos taken.. this may mean delaying for an hour or two but ill keep a close watch on the weather.. if its a wash out you can choose to rebook or have a nice in home session (ask me about these, it can be a lovely time to tell the story of your days as they are now.)

What if my child doesn’t want to be in the photos?

Hey don't stress, I wont! Im a mum, I know kids can be temperamental and even more than that I have like over 15 year experience getting the best out of kids .. so If they need a min to warm up this is a lovely time to get photos of you cuddling them.. or we leave them for a bit and take the focus from them..

Can we have photos at home?

Yes, I LOVE this. I think its one of the nicest things for kids to look back on these photos and remember playing in the garden.. we can get a good mix of portraits and candid fun shots here too!

When is it best for maternity and newborn photos?

Maternity sessions can be anywhere for 32- 36 weeks depending on your body and how you feel. I love to take these photos at golden hour (an hour before sunset). Newborns can be from a day old to 3 weeks for the super sleepy fresh look or anywhere up to a few months old! Your baby will grow and change so quickly but each stage is worth capturing. I normally put your due date in the diary and then when your babe arrives we can see how you feel and go from there.

Do you do extended family sessions?

Sure do! I love these sessions and it one of my most popular ones too. Its tricky to get everyone together.. so when you do it’s a great idea to get photos. Coming from a big family myself I’m used to the craziness of a family gathering - and I love photographing it! So whether it’s a BIG birthday celebration or a 50th wedding anniversary or Sunday lunch at granny’s house get in touch and let make a plan!! (Ps. This is included in my normal package prices and works out pretty great when everyone chips in!)

Do you do payment plans?

Yes! Book your session in well advance and I can set up a payment plan for you. A €50 deposit is required to secure your date then full payment before or on your session day.
